Movie Reviews

Till now, I have seen 4 movies in NITIE hostel. I liked 2 of them. Here is the list-

  • X-men Origin

This one was the x-men-origins-wolverine-5331-poster-large best X-Men movie I have seen. The first 3 instalments were more about the overall Mutant community and hence the fight between Humans and Mutants. This one was about the life of Logan, my favourite character in X-Men. Hugh Jackman was at his very best when it came to playing Wolverine. I did not know about Wolverine and Sabor Tooth being half brothers. Even the fact that both of them are immortal as long as they are not beheaded even before Logan’s blood is replaced with the element X, was not known to me. It was little surprising to see Gambit as he didn’t make any appearance in the earlier trilogy. Logic used for removing Logan’s memories was also well thought, as his firing a bullet in his head would create a wound, the brain cells would be regenerated but his memories can’t. If you have not seen the movie, do watch it.

My favorite Dialogue : Vegeta's Respect

I wanted to publish this since long time, but always postponed it, waiting for the right time. Well actually it is not a dialogue, since only one person is speaking.  This dialogue is from my favorite Cartoon serial DragonballZ and is spoken by my favorite character Vegeta . The scene is in the climax of the serial, in one of the final episodes. To give you an idea why I like it, let me give you some idea about DragonballZ . The characters Goku and Vegeta are one of the most important characters in the series. Natrang

I seriously don’t remember the last time I watched a Marathi movie in a theater, so according to my memory this was the first time I saw a Marathi Movie in a theater. And where?? The center point of recent controversy, Bharatmata, whose owners have been asked by NTC to vacate the place. Well, I will discuss that point in another post. Now, let us talk about the movie. I must admit it was a pleasure to watch Natrang in Bharatmata. The theater is located in central Mumbai near Lalbaug, which was dominated by Marathi mill workers in the yesteryears. Viraj had gone to PVR Lower Parel to buy the tickets. But since it would have cost us Rs. 150 each, I felt that it was too costly and asked Viraj to watch the movie in some other theater or on some other day. Since, Bharatmata was the nearest theater he decided to go there. I also left from home to join him. When I went there, there was a huge line for ticket.
