Made in India

I read one article by Barakha Dutt. It was about how Indian feel proud if some one of Indian origin however "Un-Indian" he/she may be. On the other hand, the same support is not led to people with controversial background. Check out this article. http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/StoryPage.aspx?id=aa63f54e-b26f-439e-8047-187da254512d&MatchID1=4479&TeamID1=6&TeamID2=25&MatchType1=2&SeriesID1=1115&PrimaryID=4479&Headline=Made+in+India

11 to 16

I had gone to my native place Vareri in Devgad (District Sindhudurg ) between 11 to 16. It is a place famous for the Alfonso mangoes. Here are some thing which happened during those days. Day 1: For the first time in my life I traveled in a train for long distance journey. Otherwise it use to be the Lal Daba which would take around 13-14 hrs to reach Devgad . We were really curious about the time it would take to reach. And we weren't disappointed. Compared to the ST, it took us 10 hrs to reach home, a saving of 3-4 hrs of boring journey. But I guess it wasn't going to be as happy as the journey was. We reached here only to find that the electricity supply wasn't restored. We had requested the MSEB to cut the supply earlier as we didn't have anyone staying here & due to my engineering we were sure that we wont be coming here for that period. Before leaving Mumbai we had made an application to local MSEB office. An application wasn't enough though. I guess

Back to Mumbai

Sorry for the delay but I was not in town as I had gone to my native place. Now I am back. I wanted to tell you about my last day before leaving but didn't have time. I can describe it now. Actually it started as normal day. I went to college a lot earlier than usual but as usual Maddy, Piu, Tha and Anup had already come. We discussed DC as more n more people were coming for the last paper. Now it was time for the paper. I think it was the best DC paper that University had set. Though it had many surprises, it was worth studying for it. Last 4 DC papers were very bad, almost carbon copy of each other. After the final bell there was sense of relief as you have it at the end any exam. There was no special feeling as such. I guess that will take some time. May be at the time job I will realize it. We went to Garnish to have some food and from there some went home, some to Lonawala, some (including me) went to Bandstand. It was fun all the time. Oh ya, we also took a class photo. I t

Almost there

Its just 2 days left for my exam to end. Its been interesting week. I won a prize in HT headline contest. I got an I-POD shuffle. Nice surprise, isnt it? Then came worst part. I had studied for robotics from Fast Track by Manjunath. But when I checked the previous years question papers and was shocked to see that there were many questions that were not answered in that book. Hardly any numerical problems were asked. I was really afraid about it. I was expecting a tough ride ahead. But it turned out to be other way round. It was quiet a simple paper and all the questions were solved by me in some point of time. Now its time for DC. Irrespective of my differences with Bhole Sir, Dc has been one of my favorite subject. The main reason has been A. S. Tanenbaum's one more amazing book. He will always be my "The Favorite Author" of technical books. He is the best!!! In fact I am thinking of writing a blog about his witty comments n examples in the book. Lastly, even though m

Happy Birthday Anup!!!

I dedicate this post to one of my better friends. It's his birthday today, so I wish him a very happy birthday. I am talking about Anup Nair. We have been friends for past 4 years. I still remember how we met for the first time. It was Vikrant who introduced Anup to me.  At that time Anup was in IT branch. If I am not mistaking then he was the last guy to enter the computer's batch that year. Since then it has been a healthy competition between us. We have had really great moments along with Maddy, Sidscope, Tha, Sili, Piu. In fact we have worked together in so many projects including virtual stock market, CSI and organized GK quiz. I know it must have been really tough for him and Maddy to put me and Sidscope out of their final year project team. He is a smart guy. Not a typical mallu though. He knows a bit of marathi too. He isnt a bookworm but really loves to read books. The only competition for him in that field is Maddy. He can be a little arrogant at times, but not with

Feeling better now

Hushshshhhhhhhhh................ Its feeling good now. I have understood the significance of my left hand index finger. Really it was really a hell of  time. you require that finger in almost all things you do. Now I know what do you mean by integral part of our body!!! Guess what? Last week, I was confused again........ This time the only difference was that I was not alone. I cant tell that incident here, its a secret between him and me. But I must say that I make a lot of mistakes when I have to give answers to my parents. I hope I improve my behavior some time in future. Its robotics paper on 5th of June. I am preparing well for it. I had gone to college twice and tried to solve as many problems from Manjunath's book. Sidscope and Shere gave me a really good company. Last but not the least, it's Anup's birthday tomorrow. Lucky guy!!! He shares his birthday with Rafael Nadal. Happy birthday to him in advance. I guess he has already received 2 beautiful gifts earlier t
