What an interesting turn of events in the Series!!! First, it was shown the main antagonist, Tobi , is not who he was claiming to be. We all thought he was Madara Uchiha , but instead we found that Kabuto called back Madara Uchiha from the Deads using the Impure Blodd Resurrection Justu . Another interesting thing at that point was that Madara knew who this impostor is. Most of the people including myself thought, Tobi was Madara's brother, Izuna . Then came Naruto 599, where it was finally revealed who Tobi actually is. It was none other than Obito Uchiha . Kakashi's former teammate, who gave Kakashi his left Sharingan eye as a gift for becoming a Jounin. Everyone thought he had died during that battle during the Third Shinobi war. It will be interesting to know how he survived and how he met Madara . As the series is reaches its climax there are going to be lot of explanations.

I had almost given up reading Naruto when the latest twist happened. It was getting too boring with Naruto saving each every one with the usual routine. In fact, I had not read the manga for past 2 weeks. It just happened that Vikas told me that "Tobi is actually Tobi". I just checked the latest 2 issues. Well, it was interesting to see who Kabuto's trump card was. I thought it was Sage of Six Paths, but as always a surprise was waiting for the readers :)

Jiraiya's last thoughts after his defeat at the hands of six paths of Pain. One of my favourite scenes from Naruto Shippuden - Its not how you live but how you die in the ninja world.. Last chapter of Naruto Manga (“Secret Word”)  was somewhat interesting as compared a long list of boring chapters. There have been too many characters introduced, too many fights going on, too many powers being defined. Last chapter however had an something different which compelled me to go back to initial pages to check something which I failed to “read”. With fillers being run on Naruto Anime. I have not watched it for over 3 months now. I will start watching it soon!

A quote from latest Manga where one of the antagonist Danzuo dies. You are the tree's leaves that are bathed in sunlight while I am the root hidden in the darkness.   Danzuo says this addressing Hiruzen Sarutobi. Danzuo was the head of an organization Root (a part of AMBU squad) whereas his all time nemesis Sarutobi was the Third Hokage of village hidden in the leaves. Interesting end to his story as he is a dark character but doing everything for the sake of his village. P. S.- You know what, this end looked similar to “Vegeta’s Respect” in DragonBallz.

There they go again!!! We are again forced by the animators of Naruto to watch few more filler episodes so that Anime does not catch up with Manga series. The fight between Sasuke and Killer Bee had just ended and I was eagerly waiting for the Naruto-Pain battle. But that would have meant getting too close Manga storyline. There in the Manga series, writers remind me of Indian Television soaps like “Kyonki …”. They have their own way dragging the fights from one chapter to another. Before taking 2 weeks break for new years they show Itachi appearing at the end of the final chapter of the year. Everyone is excited as to how Itchi resurrects himself from the dead. And it turns out that he was just an illusion created by Sasuke to distract Danzo. Anyway, the “Izanagi” thing was something new that has come up in the series and next week’s issue will be interesting with finale of fight between Sasuke and Danzo.

What I like about Naruto is that the writers always come up with something new and interesting. Recently, I was going through wiki of Naruto where I found that most of the characters and their names have references to the Japanese mythology. The thing which amazed me was the Power of Mangekyo Sharingan. The power of Sharingan, the eyes possessed by the almost extinct clan of Uchihas(Sasuke Uchiha being the anti hero of the series), is related to the Mythology. There is ancient Myth that when Izanagi a deity, comes out of underworld, he washes his face which gives birth to 3 gods – Amaterasu (the Sun goddess) from his left eye, Tsukuyomi(the moon god) from his right eye and Susanoo (storm god)from his nose. Now, in Naruto, the possessor of Mangekyo Sharingan receives these 3 gods’ power – Tsukoyomi, a genjutsu where the victim is stuck in an imaginary world in night under the moon, Amaterasu – highest form of fire which makes it burn anything, and Susanu – creates a spiritual being whi...

Naruto and Harry Potter!!!! What can be connected between them? Well, I have been great fan of both the series. Have you observed the biggest similarity between the two? Naruto and Harry are both orphans, that too because an evil attacked their homes, and one of their parents sacrificed so that the kid will live on. Harry’s mother sacrifices herself whereas Naruto’s father “The  4th Hokage”, often called as “The 4th”, uses the “Death Reaper Jutsu”, a forbidden jutsu which rips his soul from his body into Death Gods container forever. Take it a little further, both have a part of the evil inside them. Harry is the 7th Horcrux of Voldermort, whereas a part of the Nine Tailed Fox’s soul is intentionally stored inside Nartuo by The 4th. Both get special powers because of this. Harry is a parcel tongue whereas Naruto has 2 levels of chakra and can perform “Multi-shadow clone jutsu”, a forbidden jutsu because of its high level of Chkra consumption. The story of Naruto manga is taking a decisive turn now. It has been more than 6 months now since I started reading Naruto manga. Sasuke is heading to the 5 Kages meeting, and I expect he will face off with Naruto there. As usual the story will move slower than what readers want. I also eager to see the “Pain Arc” in the Animated form- basically the 6 paths of Pain, his Raningan, and his various abilities, and obviously his fight with Naruto. This is one of the episodes which I really like very much, I will try my best to describe it: Zabuza captures Kakashi in his water prison and is aiming for the three Genins. Since he cant possibly leave the water prison, he creates a water clone and sends him to destroy Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and the bridge builder. All three know that they cannot beat Zabuza’s clone. Sasuke tries to attack but its in vain. The clone hits him like a punching bag. Naruto sees this and is totally scared. Clone makes his move towards Naruto, slaps him, kicks him, takes off his head “Ninja” band and puts his foot on it. “ You call yourself a Ninja?? You don’t become a Ninja by wearing flashy head bands. For me you are a Ninja if you are worthy of being written about in my Bingo book.” Naruto is shivering now. He says, “I cant fight this guy.
