Gnome-blog Applet

I was desperately searching for an alternative of Windows Live writer on Linux. I tried Gnome-blog applet, BlogGTK2, Flock browser, even some extension in Firefox, but none came close to Live writer. Today when I was just going through the settings in gconf-editor on Ubuntu, I found that my Gmail password which is required for Blogger was shown directly in the gconf-editor. What the heck is that? Isn’t password supposed to be stored in encrypted format???

Happy Holi

A very happy holi to everyone. It seems to be ages since I “participated” or “played” holi. I guess the last time I was “colored” was in my 9th, that’s 9 years ago!!! The same is true for my brother. Honestly, it just happened that after my SSC, my interests in these festivals kept going down and down. I never really enjoyed these festivals like Holi or Diwali. I always felt that the people who I want to be with me at these times were not with me and hence I would claim that these days were more boring than usual. There are many reasons for that. Post SSC I have hardly visited my relatives (whatever few relatives I have). Just imagine, I have not visited my cousin who stays one station away from my current home in last 4 years, and how can I then expect him to visit my home regular basis. Another reason was that I was too serious with my studies. I have always been. I wont say I am obsessed with studies, I would not stay awake till even 1 o’clock during my exams. But when it comes me

GD-PI Bangalore

Here is the story - I reached there well before time at around 1.30pm. After reaching there I realized that I was the only guy without a “tie”. Then I went to the 4th floor, where my GD and PI was conducted. I think the GD must have started at around 2. We were 7 people (1 guy was absent). We were given 10 min to read the topic. After that one of the panelists asked us to start. The topic was interesting. Idea has launched a campaign with Abhishek Bachchan where he asks people if they want Govt to do a particular thing. The GD topic was to discuss, in which situations the SMS referendum can be used. The GD was nice. Everyone talked well and contributed almost equally. Then we had to write GD summary which we wrote. Again had no problems with summary. I was the first one to be called for Interview :) There were 2 panelist, a young guy and a lady. The guy started with asking questions about my job and then moved to Telecom industry. He asked me the size of telecom industry, IT indus

School Days

This incident happened during my SSC. I think it was our first semester exam and as usual the first 25 odd boys were in the same class. As I remember Varun used to sit next to Swapnil during that exam. Baraskar Sir was the invigilator for the exam. Also, one more fact, we had 2 girls in our class with the same name “ Swati Mane ”(I know Viraj must be saying, Shivaji and Pundalik ;)). So we were writing paper, and as usual Varun wanted to know answer of some question from Swapnil . I guess since Swapnil was trying to show the answer but was also afraid Baraskar Sir who was also our class teacher for SSC might catch him. So Varun had to lean backwards a little to read answer. Baraskar Sir saw him and… Baraskar Sir: Kai re tujhya manela kai zale? (What happened to your neck) Varun: Mazi “Mane”? The whole class erupted in laughter. (In other words, “ Ani asa mhatalyavar sagale hasale ”)

Naruto Dialogues

I know Nik is not going to like this. But I really can not help it. And anyway Nik only advised me not to think about what people will feel when taking an action :) These dialogues are not the exact ones. I have tried my best of recollect what I saw and heard. Kakashi(To Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and the Bridge Builder): I will not let my comrades fall before me. I will protect you with my life. - When Naruto and Haku meet in the Jungle. Haku: Is there anyone precious to you? Naruto: Precious? Haku: To become powerful you need to have someone precious to you for whom you can fight. When you find that precious one, then you will become truly powerful. - Now one of my favorite ones. This is the dialogue during the Chunin exam. Neji defeats Hinata in the elimination round and is about to kill her because his hatred for her, only to be stopped by the proctor and other Teachers. Naruto gets angry with Neji’s behavior and goes to see Hinata. Neji is also annoyed with Naruto’s Pep ta
