Naruto And Harry Potter

Naruto and Harry Potter!!!! What can be connected between them? Well, I have been great fan of both the series. Have you observed the biggest similarity between the two? Naruto and Harry are both orphans, that too because an evil attacked their homes, and one of their parents sacrificed so that the kid will live on. Harry’s mother sacrifices herself whereas Naruto’s father “The  4th Hokage”, often called as “The 4th”, uses the “Death Reaper Jutsu”, a forbidden jutsu which rips his soul from his body into Death Gods container forever.

Take it a little further, both have a part of the evil inside them. Harry is the 7th Horcrux of Voldermort, whereas a part of the Nine Tailed Fox’s soul is intentionally stored inside Nartuo by The 4th. Both get special powers because of this. Harry is a parcel tongue whereas Naruto has 2 levels of chakra and can perform “Multi-shadow clone jutsu”, a forbidden jutsu because of its high level of Chkra consumption.

Potter series has magic and spells whereas Naruto has ninja arts and justus. There are some matching spells and jutsus as well. Take the example of Voldemort’s resurrection from death. Similar situation is there in Naruto where Orochimaru becomes immortal by using the Body transfer jutsu. Even Orochimaru and Voldermort have things in common. Both are trying to conquer Death, underestimate their opponents. Both have a “chamacha” - Peter Pettigrue and Kabuto who have cheated their own people.

Both the series a “sacrifice” character. Sirius Black is portrayed as the one who was responsible for the Death of James and Lili Potter. But it turns out that he is innocent. In Naruto, Sasuke’s brother Itachi is shown as the merciless killer of the Uchiha clan, someone who killed his entire family except his brother, just to check out his special powers. When Itachi dies due to exhaustion during his battle with Sasuke, it is afterwards revealed that Itachi had executed the massacre on the orders of Villages' elder who thought that Uchiha may revolt against them.

Sawai Ekankika’ 2013

So this year I completed a hat trick of watching the finals of Sawai . Like the previous 2 occasions, this too was a great experience. Most of the plays were good and the overall performance level was better than that of the 2012 finals. Most of the plays were based social issues like parenting, cynicism among the middle class, etc. Unlike the previous finals, not a single one was of romantic/love genre.
