I was surprised today after I found that Yahoo had already launched a web messenger similar to Gtalk web gadget. As yahoo messenger has more capabilities than Gtalk, the same is the case with the web gadgets. You can even SMS to your friend via yahoo messenger (both desktop client and web client).
