Laxman's Bad Luck

Recently, while reading about the Kolkata Test, one thing came to my mind. I had read the tussle that was created between Laxman and John Wright after Laxman was left out of the 2003 World Cup squad. After searching Wikipedia and Cricinfo, I found that Laxman is one of the very few and unfortunate cricketers who played more than 100 Test matches but never played a single World Cup. It is pity, when you see that even the likes of Parthiv Patel were part of the squad at some point of time :(

I think its really very bad if you see in Laxmans point of view. Even after decent success in test he was not considered anytime for World cup squard. But if you see his performance in the one days which he have played, shows that he is not made for one days or he have not adjusted himself for one days. Because of adjustment dravid was the best bastsman in 1999 world cup.

Its true if we look at the current lot of players he is no match. But in 2003, he was good enough to be part of the side over people Dinesh Mongia or Parthiv Patel. I mean where is Dinesh Mongia these days!!!

Last day @ Netcore

  So it is over. After 16 months in Netcore, it feels sad to leave my friends. But then as Purwa said, "You leave office, you don't leave friends!!!" To be honest the day started as a normal day. I was trying my best not feel any different about the last day. Of course, for everything I did that day was termed as "last something” in Netcore. So there was last "Lunch", "Tea Time", "Photo session", "CCD", etc. I was wearing the shirt given by friends in Netcore. I was really overwhelmed to know how much my friends love and respect me. Being last day in office I didn't have any work as such, but it is a little difficult for a person like me to just sit like that.
