Testimonial

This is the last (I mean previous) and last (I mean final) testimonial I have written: “Nik is one my best and closest friend. He is smart, uses his words carefully, and a great PJ master. I first came to know abt this guy in our 10th. He has always been brilliant in studies(12th being an exception). Can anyone beat this guy in PJs? I will always remember the joke he had made during Gharat sir's class on tht "ramdas" story. We have a lot in common in terms of our interests like Harry Potter, Cartoons, blogging , No GF ;) I like his way of talking. He can produce humour at will, u cnt beat this guy while talking (k may be Viky cn) I havent seen him getting angry, I would say he is as cool as a cucumber when handling any difficult situations. After Jeetu left for Pune, he was one the 4 gr8 frnds I could always rely on during my graduation years. After juggling with Bsc & Actural science, he has finally settled on to MBA. I guess this was one of the best professiona...

Ok, so finally all my GD-PI calls for the month of March are out. First one is IIM Indore on 16th, second one NITIE on 17th and finally SP Jain on 28th. Will be do my best in all of them :)

Orkut Problem

I have been facing a peculiar problem on Orkut for past 3 –4 months. Most of the times when I try to comment on any photo, it is not added. In fact, I get an error saying, “Comments have temporarily been disabled”. Has anyone else faced such a problem ?

GD-PI

For people who want to know more about my GD-PI, well, you will have to wait for more time for in detail story. I can just say that it was good. I hope I will make it through. Next GD-PI on 16th March, but of course I am waiting for 15th :)

Testimonial

This is the first testimonial I have ever written: “Vishwajeet aka 1722 aka Jeetu has been my best friend ever since we met in School in 9thstd. At that time, he was a shy kid who was great orator, brilliant in acads and very kind person(actually he still is). He made an exciting entry into our class by claiming the first rank in his first exam in our class. From there on he kept on making new records in acads(sometimes high, other times rather recent times, low). But he always had that Never-say-die attitude when it comes to work. We didn't actually knew much about his shooting skills till 4-5 years. Looking at his track record, he certainly is a sharp shooter, so don't mess with him too much ;) He is true altruist, always thinking about others before himself. He certainly is courageous than me and can take faces challenge by taking the bull by the horns. Great biker (he has found gr8 partners in Susmit and Kiran). One obvious change from school life to college life h...

PJ of the Day

Susmit had called me in the afternoon. We were discussing the need that my school group should meet regularly. I some how came said the following statement and.. I: Arey Dnyanesh tar kai benchvarach ahe. Susmit: Ho. To benchvar ahe ani apan chairvar asato :D

Stanford Mania

Part 1: The England and WI cricket board were jumping with joy when Alan Stanford declared the Stanford 20-20 match between England-WI. A "winner takes all" match had a prize money of $20M (Approx. Rs. 100 Cr). It was totally insane situation according to me. Why would you give away 20M for a single match, and that too twenty-twenty? How on the earth does it help? It was beyond my conscious. WI won that match and each of WI cricketer(even the reserves) became a millionaire for nothing. Part 2: Despite receiving so much of money in World cup and Stanford cup, the WI failed miserably in hosting a test match in Antigua. The match was abandoned after just 10 balls. Sir Viv Richard called it an arrow straight through his heart. And last week saw something more interesting. Stanford has been charged by US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a fraud of $8 million. I guess it just tells you where excessive greed leads one to….

My Favorite Song

There are times when a song hits the perfect chord with us. You are listening to it for the first time, but there seems to be some unknown reason why it feels close to your heart. I heard this song just few weeks ago. Its lyrics are little bit similar to the Tridev song “Gali Gali Mein”, but certainly better than it. Talat Mahmood might not be my favorite singer, but he is said one of the greatest Hindi singers. And after listening to this song and “Jalate Hai Jis Ke Liye” I have to admit that he was an awesome singer. I am still not able to find an mp3 of this song, though it is available on Youtube. There are 2 versions of the song. A sad solo song and the energetic duet which is the one I am referring here. Do search on youtube of this song and enjoy…. Itnaa na mujhse tu pyaar badhaa ke main ek baadal aawaaraa Kaise kisi kaa sahaaraa banoon ke main khud beghar bechaaraa Is liye tujhse main pyaar karoon ke tu ek baadal aawaaraa Janam janam se hoon ...

Windows Live Writer

If there is one thing I miss the most on Linux, then it has to be Windows Live Writer. It is an awesome blogging tool. You can select all the fonts on your machine. Insert images from your PC. Add tables. Add videos. And so many other things. You can also check  it out here .

An Article from ET

Just read this article from ET. The most interesting sentence in the whole article represents an irony which India faces today: “As a result we have the incongruous situation of one of the poorest countries in the world being the largest consumers of gold, importing close to 1,000 tonnes a year.”

Priorities

Priorities for next few months, not necessarily in the same order: Office Work Study of interviews and GDs Write testimonial for Jeetu and Nik. Learn how to ride a Bicycle (yea you read it right. Its bicycle and not bike) Search for cool software and try them out Blog daily Watch Naruto and FRIENDS on your PC Keep in touch with your friends irrespective of whether they call you or not. Buy what you want to buy, before you start attending yet another college. I want to play cricket……….

Tekton Font

While using buzzword, an online word processor by Acrobat, I saw one really nice font. It is called Tektonic Pro. Unfortunately it is a proprietary font, so it is only available while we use the Buzzword. I searched a lot but no luck. Finally, I got hold of its original font - “Tekton” which is free. You can check out the font here .

Happy Birthday

To Jeetu, Many Many Happy Returns of day.... Have an awesome year... Hope you become National Champion in Shooting this year.... And find the "mate" which you have been searching for too long now :D...

Lessons of the Day

I had a superb time yesterday with along with school friends. I had CET in the morning and then met my friends at Shivaji Park. Learnt few lessons during this whole day which are- Don't make bets where you are challenged to do things you have never done before. If you happen to make such bet, make sure you actually practice and plan that stuff. Failing to plan is planning to fail. I still don't know how to flirt ;) Dinner at "Apurva" - Rs. 1065 Losing bet to your best friend - Rs. 100 Meeting 11 of your best friends - Priceless.........

Padma Controversy

I am really disappointed the way some news paper and their readers have reacted to the selection of Hindi Film Actors/ Cricketers for Padma Shri awards. For those who might not have read the news papers, Aishwarya Roy, Akshay Kumar and Harbhajan Singh have been awarded with Padma awards. Their objection is that these people have made no contribution to society so they don't deserve these awards. They say, giving awards to "bollywood" celebrities dilutes the integrity of these awards. I feel all this hoola-bulla over Padma awards is Bull-shit. I just check wiki for the Padma Shri awards. Wiki says, "Padma Shri (also spelt Padma Shree , Padmashree , Padma Sree and Padma Sri ) is an award given by the Government of India generally to Indian citizens to recognize their distinguished contribution in various spheres of activity including the Arts , Education , Industry , Literature , Science , Sports , Social Service and public life. (The word "Padma" ( Sansk...
