Life @ NITIE: Module 5

So, 5th module has begun. After 2 months of Summer Internship (Hey, I have not blogged about it na?) at ICICI Prudential, we are here, back to the place where it all started! Being the “seniors” we got the right to select the hostel and we obviously went for Hostel 5 (Thanks to our very own VP Yash). We got the same room as previous year, and here I am, in room no 606.

Being the senior batch we have been assigned the senior faculty for various subjects. Surprisingly we have been given Syndicate 3 as a classroom which has almost double the capacity required. We have 7 subjects this module, 4 core and 3 electives. I selected the electives which interested me. They are from different domains but I think made the right choice.

  1. Project Management (Dr. Khanapuri) – Core
  2. Supply Chain Management (Dr. Sanjay Sharma) – Core
  3. Management Accountancy and Control (Mr. Subramanium) – Core
  4. Strategic Management (Dr. Mani Madala) – Core
  5. OR Modeling in SCM (Dr. Ganapathy) – Elective
  6. Data Warehousing and Mining (Dr. Hema Date) – Elective
  7. Financial Risk Management (Dr. Vekateshvarlu) – Elective

All the lectures have been happening regularly, but since they spread out in the whole week, it isn’t too hectic. As I mentioned earlier, I have been watching movie per day. Along with that I have been reading “The Black Swan” and “The Age of Turbulence”. Really want to make the most this mod Winking smile

Sawai Ekankika’ 2013

So this year I completed a hat trick of watching the finals of Sawai . Like the previous 2 occasions, this too was a great experience. Most of the plays were good and the overall performance level was better than that of the 2012 finals. Most of the plays were based social issues like parenting, cynicism among the middle class, etc. Unlike the previous finals, not a single one was of romantic/love genre. Here is the list of finalists- Nat S. M. R. T. We missed this one as we were late. But Viraj's father told us, this was similar to the play " Natasamrat " but a modern version. Emotional Atyachar This was a story of an employee in an e-CRM firm which is hired by clients so that someone can communicate with their family. These clients are too "busy" with their work that they don't have time to speak with their wife/kids/parents. My favorite Dialogue : Vegeta's Respect

I wanted to publish this since long time, but always postponed it, waiting for the right time. Well actually it is not a dialogue, since only one person is speaking.  This dialogue is from my favorite Cartoon serial DragonballZ and is spoken by my favorite character Vegeta . The scene is in the climax of the serial, in one of the final episodes. To give you an idea why I like it, let me give you some idea about DragonballZ . The characters Goku and Vegeta are one of the most important characters in the series.
